Building block vases

Fancy another handmade gift idea made from materials you already have in your home? Have a look at these vases made from building blocks, perfect for dried and faux flowers.

If you have children the changes are you have a box of building blocks in your house. They are the perfect and toy and great to craft with. Simply stacking them on top of each other, glueing them together and drilling a hole in the middle turns a few simple blocks in great little vases.

Put 3 or 5 together on a tray for a perfect handmade gift. I didn’t had to buy any materials for this make and it only took me ten minutes to make (plus glue drying time) fast, frugal and unique my favourite kind of gift!

If you don’y have building blocks you can use off cuts of planed timber, you could even go to a craft shop and buy some plane wooden squares or wooden balls.

I might make a slightly taller tower next or drill a bigger hole and use some stacked blocks as a candles stick. Have you might any handmade presents this year?
