Make Christmas cards with your toddler
Who doesn't like to receive a homemade Christmas card, especially one that has been made by the smallest hands in your family. When thinking of what kind of cards we can make together it had to be something that is fun to do for a two year old as Kiki gets bored of an activity super quick. Sticking bits of tape never gets old though :D
Have a look at the video below to see us making these washi tape Christmas cards together.
You simply draw a Christmas tree shape on the inside of your card, cut it out with a craft knife and have your little one decorate the other side of the card with washi tape. Glue your card closed and your handmade Christmas wish is ready, couldn’t be easier.
Instead of using tape you can of course also have your little one paint the inside of the card or give him/her some crayons for decorating. We have done a few with water colours too and they look super cute. Another way of making these cards is if you add a photo behind the tree, maybe even a family shot? How sweet would that look!
I was tempted to add glitter too but then thought I rather not hoover up glitter for the next few weeks so decided against that :D
I read an article that Christmas cards are being sent a lot more this year. For years the digital card and Whatsapp message were more popular but this year its the proper Christmas card that is winning. A tradition I love, how about you? Do you like sending cards?
