Behind the scenes of my new book, Made with Salvaged Wood
My new book is now available to buy worldwide! Made with Salvaged Wood is full of 35 reclaimed timber projects for your home. Fancy making a bench made from an old door? Scrap wood air plant hangers? Or how about a pallet wood chairs? All projects have easy to follow step by step pictures explaining you how to build. The book has even got a chapter on all the salvaged wood that you can use, how to find it and how to prep it for your projects.

Do you like the look of the new book? I really enjoyed making all the projects even though my fingers almost froze off sawing and sanding in the bitter cold of the winter. Gave me a great excuse to have a lots of coffee breaks to defrost ;) I think the publishers did a great job designing the book as I loved how it turned out, this definitely is my favourite book to date!
I love using materials in my builds that you already have lying around. Why buy new when you can up-cycle? As i'm slightly obsessed with the texture and patina of old timber Made with Salvaged Wood was a title I loved to get my hands on. A quick Google search gives you lots of projects made from pallet wood but you don't see off cuts or old door builds often. In Made with Salvaged Wood all these salvaged materials are being used from old floor boards to tree branches and timber boxes. If it's made from wood I will use it!
