Orchard dinner

Friends of mine own an orchard and this weekend they held their first pop up dinner in their new rustic 'the pressing room' barn. The Pressing Room also houses the orchards Victorian cider press that is still used every year to press that years harvest. Set in the beautiful Kent countryside the Little Stour Orchard produces some of the best apple juice, cider and vinegar. And last Saturday they teamed up with the Prawn&Pig to serve 18 guest stunning locally sourced food. Chefs Craig Mather and chef Gareth Oliver created a beautiful menu of grilled prawns, salads and pork belly all served up in the barn surrounded by apple trees.
