Make Pinecone Owls, fun Christmas craft with children

I wanted to make some Christmas decorations that even small children could join in with so I made some pinecone owls.

Aren’t they the cutest? What I love even more about this craft is that you can all head outdoors first to look for pinecones, have a lovely family walk and fill your pockets. When back home give the pinecones a clean, a bake and they are ready to be turned into owls.

We made lots and have them lined up on our window sill. You can also turn them into Christmas tree decorations by adding a little yarn loop to their top or tie them onto your presents as cute gift tags.
