Under stairs cupboard to book nook!

Kiki, my little girl has cupboard in her bedroom that goes under the stairs, think Harry Potters bedroom but a bit smaller. I could use it to store her way to big a collection of teddies but what is the fun in that. As a child I would have loved a little hideaway spot, to be honest I still do :) so wouldn’t it be fun to transform the cupboard into a little book nook. A special, comfy, spot full of cushions and a big collection of books to cozy up in and read your favourite adventures. Have a look how I got on.

I love how the cupboard has turned out and Kiki loves her little reading nook, she’s already talking about doing a challenge to see how long she can stay in there. She’s aiming for a whole day as long as I bring her food every now and then :)

The pink paint inside the cupboard is RustOleums Little Stars paint in Bed of Roses, it’s a paint specially formulated for children’s bedrooms and best of all it works as a natural air purifier. The pom pom light chain is an Amazon find. The storage box is an IKEA Knagglig box that I put wheels under and I took the front top slat off the box for easy reach to the books that normally always flop over on the book shelf.
