Easy interior update, colour pop wall
Fancy a change in your interior but don’t know where to start? Why nor paint a big shape on your wall! Not as much work or major impact as a full feature wall but it will definitely gave your room a fun new look.
Have a look at how I came up with the shape and colour choice in the video below (sorry am having problems embedding the video into the blog post please follow the link to my YouTube)

I love it!! Giving the room a new look took me 2 hours, it would have been quicker if the paint would have covered in one coat :)
The paint I used is Annie Sloan wall paint in English Yellow. What do you think do you like the yellow? As you saw in the video I found it difficult picking a colour! Then I thought, it’s only paint, if I don’t like it I just paint over it again.
For the last few days I was thinking about the shape, I first thought a circle around the door would look real cute but then I thought straight lines might look better in the room. I really like how the rectangle goes into the corner as well . What shape would you have gone for?
After I painted the yellow block I remembered I have yellow dip curtains that might look real nice with the new colour pop in the room. I made them for an Ikea family live shoot and you can see how I dyed them here.
While I was shooting the after pictures Kiki kept wondering in shot and rearranging my props, you will see more and more toys appear in frame when you watch the video :D
I hung the Advent calendar back up too, if you missed that tutorial have a look here.
The paint was previously gifted by Annie Sloan for a project I did last year
