Like you saw in last weeks video I have moved house!! I moved to a house that needs a lot of TLC so I started a new series: Hester's House Updates: How to update an outdated house on a budget.

Over the next few months I will show you lots of projects in an around the house. All builds and makes you can do on a small budget and without a lot of DIY experience. I hope to inspire you to start decorating yourself as well!

To kick off the new series I'm starting in the smallest room of the house, the toilet! I must say I've never filmed while sitting on the loo before :) In this part one of the makeover I tackled the toilet walls, out with the boring and plain and in with the fresh coloured and interesting. All you need is some moulding, paint and a whole lot of magazine pages.

That made quiet a difference, didn't it? The toilet even looks bigger with all the magazine pages on the wall. Would this be something you would do as well? Would you use the same colour scheme or go lighter? Or maybe brighter? You could also use newspaper clippings for a more monochrome look.

Next week in part 2 I will show you how you can paint a vinyl floor, I will update the skirting boards and will show you how with a few accessories you can finish off this new look.
