When I moved into my house two years ago all money was spend on paint, flooring and furniture. After a couple of weeks the place looked great but there was no money left to actually hang any art work from those freshly painted walls. I managed to find some bits and pieces from the charity shop but the wall above our sofa was still in desperate need of a focal point.
So I decided to get the metal wire out, spend an hour bending it into the sentence 'Sun, sea and seagulls' spray painted it blue and hung it up. Couldn't be easier or cheaper and as I made it myself it's truly unique and in keeping with our nautical home.
Lot of people asked me over the last weeks how I made it so here my Wire Art tutorial so you can make your own master piece. In the tutorial I show you how to make one word but you can make a sentence as long as your wall will let you!
Have a look at the video to see how you can make your own wire art.
I would love to see your creations! Post them on Instagram with the hashtag #hestershandmadehome so I can see what you've made. Would you go nautical as well or do you have another word or sentence planed?
Happy crafting! x Hester
