Blogtacular and Instagram photowalk
Last Saturday it was time for Blogtacular 2015, an amazingly inspiring blogging conference held in the Royal Institute in London. Not only were there amazing keynotes, speakers and styling sessions but it was also a great way to meet the people behind the blogs you admire. There was such a good and electric atmosphere, I've never been in a room where it was easier to talk to the stranger next to you or butt in to their conversation ;) There was so much to learn from the speakers like Grace Bonney from Design*sponge, Igor&Judith from Urban jungle bloggers, Francesca Stone from Fall for DIY, Cate Sevilla from Buzzfeed and many, many more. I think everybody came away with a head buzzing full of new idea's.
I was lucky enough to be selected to go on the photo walk before the conference. 50 Or so off us met up on the South bank at 7am Saturday morning to be walked around and be inspired by Xanthe Berkley and Samee Lapham. Have a look at the images I took, I shot some on my phone but as it was so grey and cloudy I also snapped away on my 40mm lens. You can see yellow, red and pink were the colours of the day!
My favourite shop ever, West Elm, hosted the Blogtacular after party in partnership with Pinterest, nicely named Pintacular. Not only did we have the change to shop after hours, there were craft stations dotted all over the shop. I loved meeting Mr.X Stitch and getting started on cross stitching a succulent, how on trend ;) Unfortunately I had to rush off to catch my train before I could try the other crafts but they all looked amazing, especially Nikki McWilliams fabric baskets. I had a great day and want to give a huge cheer for Kat&Kat for organising an very inspiring Blogtacular, cant wait for the 2016 edition!!
