DIY dolls house dolls, a paper doll hack
Do you remember I build a dolls house a few months ago? I wanted a modern style house for Kiki to play with but the ones you can buy in the shops are rather pricey so I designed my own out of a sheet of plywood. She loves playing with the house and I thought it was time the home got some proper residents.
My friend Teri from www.the lovelydrawer.com makes these beautiful paper dolls, you know the old fashioned kind that you can dress with all different outfits. I thought these dolls would make a perfect, and stylish, addition to the dolls house!
Have a look at the video and see how I made the dolls for my dolls house.
I might have to build the ladies some furniture, as the bear sized furniture just won’t do :)
I used 1 cm thick plywood to give the dolls some strength, you could use a slightly thinner balsa wood too. I had to cut my dolls out with a fret saw but if you use a thinner wood you could use a craft knife to cut the wood.
